Cuttin Edge started with Darren on his knees fitting carpets — learning the trade the hard way, one job at a time. Over fifteen years on, he’s still the one measuring and fitting most jobs himself, from a little shop on Ovenden Road that’s become a proper part of Halifax.

It’s a family business through and through. Darren looks after the carpets and vinyl, and Jo runs the beds side and keeps everything ticking over. There’s no big sales team and no pressure — when you call in, you’re dealing with the people who’ll actually do the work.

We’ve never been the cheapest and never tried to be. What we offer is honest advice, quality that lasts, and a proper job. Most of our work comes from people we’ve looked after before, and their friends and family — that says more than any advert could.
